Cutting tool for chainsaws
The challenge:
A chainsaw can cut large beams easily and cheaply, but with little precision.
Solution:
The bar of the chain saw is hooked into the cutting tool by a simple rotation, so it is possible to cut easily, safely and very precisely, along the guide profile.
The laser line shows the exact position of the cut laterally and also above the beam.

Components
Guiding unit
Consists of base plate, rotating plates mounting brackets and guide profiles, all parts are made of anodized aluminum.
Cutting set
Consists of sword, chain, guide jaws, riving knife and protective hood.
Angle adjustment
The desired cutting angle can be set to the horizontal and to the vertical degree scale. The horizontal angle setting snaps to commonly used angle positions such as 0° 22.5° 30° 45° 60° 90° on automatically.
Scales
Scales made of black anodized aluminum with light engraving for high reading contrast, resistant to solvents and mechanical stress.
Laser line
The red or green laser line has a beam angle of 90° and is therefore very well visible at the sides and above the beam. The position of the laser can be moved, so the laser line can be projected to the desired sides of the beam.
Adjustment clips
The adjustment clips are attached to the guide profiles so that the laser beam can be aligned exactly to the cutting edge.
Attachment
It is attached to the workpiece using the mounting bracket and a lever clamp.
Sword and chain
A saw bar with drill holes for the guide jaws and a saw chain are included. (Suitable for Stihl 3/8 inch mount)
Protective hood
The protective hood protects against injuries, chips and oil splashes, it is made of sheet steel and has an additional handle.
Riving knife
Particularly safe thanks to the riving knife and protective hood. The lignatool cutting guide is the only cutting system for chainsaws with a riving knife and a protective hood.
Tenon cutter
The optional accessory can be used as a tenon cutter or a slotting device and can also be used to make wedge-shaped cut-outs such as coves on rafters or stair stringers can also be made with it. Depending on the configuration, tenon widths of 30mm 40mm 42mm 1.5 inch or 2 inch can be cut.
Round wood adapter
The log adapter enables the safe and efficient processing of logs in combination with the chainsaw. The attachment is done with screws or with visible round wooden beams by lashing.
Chainsaws
Electric chainsaws such as those with electricity or battery, or gasoline-powered chainsaws can be used. A chainsaw is not included in the delivery.
Cutting direction
The cutting direction is optional for optimal cutting quality be selected from the left or from the right. The cut can therefore or against the grain direction.
Cutting without cutting guide
Even without the cutting guide, the chainsaw with splitting wedge and protective hood, can be used especially safely for cutting or cutting off beams.
Cutting slits
The tenon cutter can also be used for slotting beams at the ends be used. The slot width is variable depending on the chain width.
Profile extension
With this accessory, the cutting profiles can be extended by 250mm or 500mm.
